ABOUT

Dr Jan-Petrus Grey

Dr Grey is originally from the East Rand and attained his medical degree from the University of the Free State. Soon after, he completed his Master's Degree in Orthopaedic Surgery at Stellenbosch University.

In the Western Cape, he spent eight blessed years working and refining his skill set in orthopaedic surgery before moving to Gauteng to establish his full-time private practice at Life Wilgeheuwel Hospital. He works alongside his colleague, Dr J. Strobos, providing world-class shoulder surgery. Dr Grey’s special interest in shoulder surgery and arthroplasty enables him to deliver high-quality patient care with optimal clinical outcomes.

Dr Grey is a loving husband and father of three boys and a daughter. They all enjoy camping, cycling, and searching for crystals. He also enjoys playing Lego with his sons and treasures the simple things in life.

Dr Grey firmly believes we should enjoy every day as if it’s our last. He stresses the importance of keeping up-to-date with your medical aid and gap cover, especially in the ever-changing economic climate.

Since he was a young boy, Dr Grey has always shown interest in design and developed exceptional problem-solving skills and three-dimensional thinking. It’s from here that he gravitated toward orthopaedic surgery. The best advice Dr Grey can give to his patients is to get out and stay active!
